Grand finals....dinner...closure?

As I have promised, I came to write aboiut the Grand finals for the nationals track and field championships. In the end, our boys were ranked overall 2nd and the girls 4th.

Well, I would say that certainly the day was a very exciting one especially when you were to trace the the boy's points relative to rjc. Then, there were also races with pretty shocking outcomes like the 100m guys, 4x400m guys also, as in its the kind where by we were super close to winning but were eaten at the very last minute. There were also rather similar cases for thegirls events but it was that we eat other people at the last minute sort of thing. Well, it was the best shot that the team this year can come up with but the result.....maybe, we just lack that very very little extra quality.

After the whole thing, the track team went for dinner at Singa Inn, along East Coast Park behind Parkway Parade. By the time we reached the resturant, it was about 8 plus and we were all famish. It was Seafood steamboat but we were all so hungry that after collecting the food to throw into the steamboat to cook, we were all attacking the desserts. Well, overall, the food was so so kind of ok, but it was a little tedious to need to cook then eat not like the buffet that we had at Paramount hotel last year when we could all just wack the food continuosly and immediately.
For my table alone, there was a mini episode or laughther over he correct pronounciation of the word "Yam" and I was the one who was making the mistake, pronounciating it as if it was a name or surname or something.

Well, the highlight for the night was not so much of the voting of the new committe or the coach's speach or presenting him his gift, I think it would be the episode of putting liveprawns into the staeamboat. My table was the first to be served the live prawns and when the guy cautioned us about adding the prawn as the prawns would try to jump out we asked the man to put it in for us. He tried to pour in the prawns from the bowl in one smooth action and the prawns really jumped. Some jump out of the soup and was jumping a little still on the table. My table of girls shirked and were all on our chairs pushing our chairs as far back as we can go. the other tables subsequently had their episode of prawnadding but the rest of them all add it themselves. The coach was afraid of the prawn whn it moved, another boy added one at a time but would immediately pin each prawn down into the soup to prevent it from jumping. We were like all going around to watch each table's performance.

And special thanks to my coach who gave me a lift to the bus stop that had a few convenient buses for my to take home as it  was really running late by the time we left.

Well, like what the girls captain was saying before the onset of the day's events that she wished that it would quickly come but don't want it to be over. I was telling myself that I am going to record this memory to be with me forever that's why this blog is so so narrative. Certainly I had a good time as part of the college's track team. I will always remember that we invent the term "lunching" . In the further past memories of of comparing whose tigh is bigger evn by means of shadow. Then we also had all those "请" and "上" especially during weight training sessions. the girls captain's ever so entertaining singing that I couldn't ask for Amagadon to come faster. The tricks that we pulled on April's fool day, especailly the most successful one on a junior that lead her to run a full 300m. Then there were also nearly successful tricks on some of the girls who were late. the best part about this 2 tricks was that I was highly actively involved in it with me pulling of the late trick entirely. The memories....well, it will sur be a time that I will look back with a smile on my face yet a tinct of saddness in my heart.

Love you all trackers, muah.

ok, think I got to go.....

catch up another time?

What M i to say

Sigh.....

It's been a while since I last wrote the blog already...but the saad thing is that there isn't exactly much that I want to be philosophical about or that anything interesting happened much lately.....

Well, I went down to support the guys and girls who were having their events today and man, things are certainly getting exciting given that the boys are now 2nd and closing in real close to Rj right now. I keep wondering if the guys will be able to catch up and so I keep asking Han Feng about what are the chances and I think Han is tired or irritated by my constant asking:( but still I am anxious for them. The girls ranking, even the coach isn't that hopeful that we can catch up. Sigh.....

After being reminded by my friends that I am hunching or slouching ever since they can remember, I am certainly trying my very best to change the whole posture thingy and it sure isn't diff. Like what one of them suggest, I got to remind myself about it till it is part fo me.

Then I am not so sure if I ever mentioned in this blog anot....I seriously don't think that I was going to continue track after this year? Then today, there was this ex-teacher of mine from secondary school days, well, I knid of treat him more as a friend than a teacher becuase I think that teachers and students should be more of the friendship than anything else. Ok....getting back to the topic.... He actualy was drawing out the possibility of my continuing with track into U. He was outlining to me that I got the good physic but lack the speed to make it....He sounded pretyy optimistic...but I really don't know. I want to try something different and probably still remain active in terms of sports that I have on my own....but having sports as track again, I really don't know. But given that I spent so much time and effort in track already, can I really walk out and find another placeof interest?

ok....I think I shall just say till here for now.

Well, write again after the grand finals

till then..... ta ta
